Dear Staff Applicants,

I want to take this moment to say "Thank you".
By simply applying as a staff member, you are showing a willingness to serve our youth. One of the most important things we look for in a staff applicant is not only someone who wants to be a part of SCYC, but someone who is prepared to be a part of SCYC.

Please know that the staff selection process is not about fulfilling the wants and desires that we may have, but about fulfilling what is most productive and beneficial for our campers. All of the hard work and dedication that is put into camp is meant to nurture and grow the faith of our campers.
The week we spend at Bandina is not about us, the staff.
It is about the campers.

To serve on the staff of SCYC is not merely an opportunity, but an extraordinary privilege that is earned and deserved by the life we live and the example we set each and every day. We want you to be living a life that leads others to Christ before you come to camp, not because you are coming to camp. Our staff members must be consistently learning and growing in their own faith. How else can we expect to set the needed example we are called to?

If you feel this describes you, then I encourage you to apply.
I pray that you are ready to serve with all that you are...
heart, soul, mind, and strength.

In His Service,
Wes Wilson
SCYC Session Director
